He loved his master, even if his master didn't love him back. His master loved his rattata, but not him. He was his master's first pokemon, but his master didn't love him. He did everything to please his master, but he never was pleased with anything HE did. He didn't care. He loved his master. He always had.
His master let him ride on his shoulder. He had never been aloud to ride on his master's shoulder before. He was happy. His master seemed happy too. He was very happy.
They stopped at a dock at a large lake. His master's rattata came out of his pokeball. He looked happy too. He looked like he was expecting something. His master reached his hand up and cupped the side of His face. "You know I never liked you," came his master's voice. "Groo," he replied. /Yes./ "But today I am very happy." His master picked him up and sat him on the dock, kneeling down to be as close to His height as possible. He looked up at his master. His master was happy. He was happy. He didn't see his master to pull out a knife. His master grinned wildly. "I'm happy because today," his master hid the knife in his sleeve and brought his hand close to Him. "You'll be gone forever." Slish. His eyes widened and he gasped for air. He looked down at the blood gushing from his neck. He looked up at his master. "Glurr," he managed to choke out. /Why?/ His master still had that same smile. His master picked him up by the tail and tossed him into the lake. He watched as his master's image faded away in the murky water. His tears mingled with the lake water. The water diluted his blood so that no trace of it could be found. It started to get dark and blurry. His master left. He sank to the bottom. No one would find him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~1 year later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A child cries. He lost a battle. Losing is not what made him cry. His pokemon were stolen afterwards. Stolen by a teen boy with a raticate. His pokemon were stolen. His beloved pokemon. His family.
She and the others were forcibly released. It was that teen boy and his raticate. She and the others were injured and tired. He told his raticate to attack them. The raticate chose to attack cottonee. Cottonee was young with little experience. Withought thinking twice she used her body as a shield to protect the youngling. "Nee!" came the cottonee's voice. /Blaziken!/ The teen boy told his raticate to attack again. The raticate tore into her body. She screamed in pain. Snover hid cottonee's face. Hid her face from the sight of their mother-figure being shredded before them. Ekans cried. He had never witnessed such cruelty. She could no longer move. Her energy was gone. Her blood was draining from her body. The raticate turned its attention to the other three. Its tail swished awaiting orders to hear what his master wanted done with them. "Shred them like you did the blaziken" came his master's voice "but do not kill them." The raticate smiled maliciously at the three and advanced on them. She tried to move. She couldn't. Her body wouldn't listen to her pleas. She couldn't utter a sound. She was forced to watch the raticate tear them up like he did to her. Tears pored from her eyes. She felt something cold, hard, and heavy slipped around her neck and wrists. She didn't care. She wanted them safe. She wanted the raticate and his monster of a master dead.
The raticate followed his master closely. He walked by the large sack on top of a thick square wooden board with wheels screwed to the bottom. His master pulled it behind them. They were going back to a place they hadn't been to for a year.
They arrived at a dock at a large lake. The lake where He lie on the bottom. He heard a command from his master. He struck the bag with a great amount of power sending it flying. It landed in the water. It opened up and four figures sank.
They sank. They were chained to heavy weights and their bodies had floats attached to keep them away from the bottom. It hurt. They couldn't breathe. They struggled to get out but to no avail. She looked around desperately. No one was around. She looked down in anguish. Her eyesight blurring. She saw something blue half covered in brown. She tried to make out what it was but couldn't. Her lungs were screaming for air. The others' struggles were becoming less and less. Such a cruel way to die. She silently wish for death to come quicker so they would no longer suffer. But most of all. She wished for that raticate and trainer to die. Movement. Her world was dark but she could make out movement from where the blue was. It moved again. It seemed to turn toward her. Her world was dark, but she could make out eyes and a mouth. They glowed an eerie white. The eyes were like full moons and its mouth had sharp jagged teeth with fangs like a spider's on both sides. It moved quickly. To quickly for her to turn her head. She saw blood and the chains shake. Then they were still. This happened to the others. Her world was almost black now. She heard something in the water. "Glurr." The eyes and mouth reappeared in front of her. She heard a voice in her head. /Their suffering is over now. Your suffering is over now too./ She felt something slash into her. Her chains shook. Then they were still.
The teen boy watched as bubbles and blood rushed to the surface of the water in the lake. What had happened? Nothing lived in the lake. No one swam there. So what had happened?
His raticate stood next to him. He had seen it too. He looked around the lake and thought he saw movement heading their direction. He blinked and the movement was gone. He turned to his master. His tail hung over the dock. It dangled a few inches from the water's surface. Something appeared below the surface, but no one noticed it. The raticate started to reach for his master. The thing clasped onto the raticate's tail and yanked it. The raticate let out a terrified squeak as it fell into the water. His trainer fell to both knees and tried to reach the raticate. He was dragged underwater, far away from the surface before the thing let go of him. He turned to face his attacker. His blood turned cold.
The teen boy was panicking. His raticate had been pulled underwater. He sat back up. All of a sudden blood, bits of flesh, and disembodied limbs from his raticate rushed up to the surface. He jumped back and away from the sight, barely able to keep from vomiting. /Maaaasssterrrr./ He looked around trying to find the origin of the voice. He saw a flicker of movement from the corner of his eye. He turned around and saw a tail disappear into the water without a sound. He grew pale. He recognized that tail. It was the tail of his first pokemon. /Maaaasssterrrr./ Came the voice again. The back of his pokemon appeared then disappeared with a flick of his tail. The teen leaned forward, unable to believe what he had seen. That pokemon was still alive. He had slit its throat and left it for dead at the bottom of the lake he thought. But here he was. Swimming around like it had never happened. But then he lifted his head out of the water. His eyes glowing white orbs. /Maaaasssterrrr./ He began to swim toward his master. His mouth radiated hellish white and red. The teen leaned back in fear. /You killed me master./ The teen's face turned white. /I'm not mad. You came back. And now.../ The boy started to stand up. He wanted to get away. But it was to late to run away. His pokemon had launched itself into the air and at him. It mouth opened wide. The water hissed at the heat radiating from its mouth. The pokemon's teeth sank into his eye. The momentum and sheer force knocked him off balance and into the lake. His pokemon worked fast and ate into his skull. /Now we will be together forever./ The voice rang through his skull as he realized it was his pokemon's. He couldn't move. Couldn't breathe. All he felt was pain. His body sank to the bottom. It leaned against a large rock, keeping it in a sitting position. His pokemon started eating at his other eye. /You never loved me master./ His pokemon's voice rang through his head as the world darkened in his mind. /But don't worry./ His world went black. /I have always loved you./
